Ever Complete, Never Whole

Celebrating the Spring Festival with my family, we have established a tradition of cooking together during the first month of the lunar year.

As the year draws to a close, my parents embark on the task of preparing an array of dishes. Delectable options such as braised beef, stewed chicken, boiled mutton, steamed meatballs, egg rolls, crispy roasted pork, and fried hairtail are just a glimpse of the culinary delights they prepared. These dishes not only tantalize our taste buds but also infuse our home with a profound sense of comfort and joy.

Dumplings and fried cakes are typically prepared shortly before the Spring Festival, usually just a day or two before the celebration. To accommodate the festive abundance, our two large refrigerators are slowly stocked over the course of about a week.
